Aligning our business with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Our approach: we actively support the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with our own sustainability goals.

Since 2015, the United Nations has adopted the 2030 Agenda – a global action plan for member states, companies and other stakeholders, aimed at collectively finding solutions to the most important challenges facing mankind and the environment. At the heart of this action plan lie 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for social, economic and environmental development – from eradicating poverty to reducing inequality and fighting climate change.

As part of the global community, we have a role to play in achieving the SDGs and focus our sustainability efforts on those SDGs where we can have the greatest impact.

How is Tchibo supporting the Sustainable Development Goals?

Of the 17 SDGs, nine are directly relevant to us in our supply chains and product ranges. They form the framework that governs how we understand social and environmental responsibility, how we define this responsibility in concrete terms for the world of Tchibo, and how we implement it across our product ranges, supply chains and processes.
